2017 Fort Worth Admin Awards
Earlier this month, over 400 professionals throughout Tarrant County met at the Fort Worth Convention Center to honor and recognize exceptional individuals who exemplify administrative excellence. The administrative professionals were nominated by their colleagues and peers based on their dedication, perseverance, and leadership within the workplace and their communities.
The Admin Awards were founded in 2012 by the daughter of a career admin, Sunny Nunan; she wanted to publicly recognize the enduring efforts of the men and women who support their respective organizations and help contribute to their overall success.
Each year, hundreds of nominations are submitted for multiple award categories and evaluated by an independent panel of judges who determine which admins will take home the win and the handcrafted glass trophy to proudly display. The Admin Awards are not your ordinary workday luncheon. And while the awards ceremony is a competition, each admin in attendance receives the red-carpet treatment with champagne, gifts/prizes, but most importantly appreciation.

About the authors:
Makenzie Bonham (left) serves as the Marketing Director for Burnett’s Staffing, a Dallas – Fort Worth based staffing agency established in 1966. She is the third generation of her family to serve in the staffing and recruiting industry.
Elizabeth Thompson (right) is an intern for Burnett’s Marketing Department. She’s a student at Washington and Lee University, studying neuroscience and music.
